Hi, I am Mrs. Lavette McFall, or just McFall, I am a 1988 graduate of The College of the Bahamas with an Associates of Arts Degree in Biology/Chemistry, a 1993 graduate of Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. I received the COA designation as the first certified Orthodontic Assistant in the Bahamas in 1995. I have been employed with the Bahamas Orthodontic Center for almost 16 years. I am the Office Manager or "what ever I need to be" here at B.O.C. I am the one who makes certain that all the "t's" are crossed and all the "i's" are dotted, so that your experience at our office is unforgettable. Whatever your needs are during your treatment, I am here for you. I am seasoned in all aspects of the practice having functioned as a clinical assistant, clinical coordinator, treatment coordinator, financial coordinator and much more. The past 15 years has been totally rewarding. I have met so many great people and have been a part of the process of creating beautiful smiles which have resulted in the transformation of many lives. My motto in life is to "help as many people as I can, where ever I can, for as long as I can." Some of my hobbies are motivational speaking, traveling, reading and organizing events.
Shortly after joining Bahamas Orthodontic Center in January of 1998, I assumed the position of Financial Controller. My responsibilities are many and varied, the most important of which concern the handling of all the firm's financial responsibilities. I pay all our vendors both local and abroad, prepare weekly payroll for our staff and oversee the deposit of all monies to the bank. Reconciling bank and credit card statements on a timely basis, and preparing a full set of financial and statistical statements on a monthly basis also falls under my job description. I liaise with and perform the same functions for our Freeport Office.
Hi, my name is Samantha Cartwright; feel free to call me Sam. I am the Treatment Coordinator or a New Patient Coordinator. I am usually the person you talk with when you come to our office for a consultation appointment for braces. It is my job to make you feel welcome and to hear your concerns and to introduce you to the exciting world of orthodontics. I have been with B.O. C. for about 10 years now, and I am loving it more and more each year. I love people and I particularly love meeting people. Every day is a new opportunity to meet great people. It allows me to make new friends and create relationships that have lasted for years. We do lots of fun things at B. O. C. and it's a joy to be a part of such an awesome team.
Hi I'm the tax collector, short like Zaccheus but I don't have to climb a tree to see.
Hi I am Denise Miller, better known as Nisey. I am an Administrative Assistant and I assist in every area of the office.
Kasprintina Ellis-Jones, affectionately called "Kas" has been a part of the Bahamas Orthodontic Center for three years. When I am not having fun greeting and assisting patients, I spend time hanging out with my two boys. I enjoy cooking and reading.
Hi, I'm Sharrana! Assistant Treatment Coordinator. I've been at B. O. C. for about a year; I guess I'm the baby of the practice! :-) I'm a very cheerful and outgoing person who loves meeting new people. I enjoy singing, reading, traveling, spending time with friends and family and watching movies!
Hi I'm Ceciley, the Administrative Coordinator. I have been employed at B.O.C. for approximately 9 years. I work behind the scene to make certain that everything my manager and doctor needs gets done. I help with the overall organization and daily functions of the admin team, as well as serve our patients, my office manager, doctor and fellow teammates. I'm the all-around lady; whatever you need, give it to me, and rest assured that it will be done. I love singing in the shower, not in public, even though I often get fussed for it and I love watching good love stories.
Hi, I'm Tammy. I am the Customer Service Coordinator, a.k.a. "the police" simply because I get my thrill from making sure that our patients are always happy and feel satisfied. Apart from always appreciating a great joke, I enjoy boats and fishing (the old fashion way – hook, line and sinker, sitting on a rock). And no…. I cannot swim. I'll answer that before I'm even asked. Oh! I have another confession, I can never remember how to tie the sinker and hook on the line, so once I get someone to do that before I leave, I’m ready to go on my adventure.
Hi, I'm Sylvia, the Office Assistant. Whenever there is an office celebration I will be there. I wear many different hats here: the office clown, Easter bunny and so much more. Whenever you come in with a frown, I promise you, after you meet me your frown will turn upside down.
AKA Jen-Jen. I have spent the last 11 years having a blast meeting new patients and helping them accomplish their goal of a great smile. I do enjoy my time here at B.O.C. and take pleasure in knowing that I have made many lasting friendships in the process. I am a fitness fanatic out of the team so I spend most of my evening jogging and walking. I am an active member and care group leader at my church and also serve on the usher board. I believe life is one big party one day at a time!!!!
Hi, I'm Lorraine and laughter is my medicine for everything. I enjoy my position as an Orthodontic Assistant, and working with my hands give me great joy. In my spare time I enjoy sewing, reading, and meeting people. My inspiration: Philippians 4:13, "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
My name is Vernita Dean. I have had the greatest opportunity to serve in B.O.C. since February 26, 2002. I am a proud Clinical and Lab Assistant. My role is to ensure that I understand the value of every appliance, and this knowledge is what I apply to my daily work. In addition, I am responsible for sterilizing all of the clinical instruments to protect our patients. I am the all-around Clinical Assistant, and my goal is to always exceed the practice expectations.
AKA chair 3, for the past 4 years I've been passing through. Everywhere you go, I'm there. Who am I?
Hi my name is Marilyn. I am an Orthodontic Assistant. My favorite color is blue; I feel that blue is so warm and welcoming that I blush at all the different shades of blue. Traveling, reading, meeting people, and nowadays cooking are my hobbies. There is such joy in my position as an Orthodontic Assistant as I meet so many interesting people from ages 7 to 70. We create beautiful smiles and everyone wants to be pretty. Deband Day, is my favorite day, it's like attending a party. We decorate the office and sing to all the patients who had their braces removed and I like being a part of the excitement when the patients see their new smile. Happiness seems to come to people who pursue excellence. With all my tasks, I pray each day to accomplish them to the best of my ability.
I enjoy seeing the beautiful smiles we create. Meeting new people, watching the changes as the patient progresses through treatment and their smile when the braces are removed is very exciting!
Hi, I am Vanessa, and I have been working here at Bahamas Orthodontic Center for the past ten years. I am the Clinic Coordinator and I love working with my team. What I enjoy most is working with children in Special Olympics, giving back to the community in my spare time, travelling and exercising.
Hi my name is Kayshalla, but everyone calls me "Kay". Laughter is my choice of medicine after a stressful day. My title is an Orthodontic Assistant, and Orthodontics has been a part of my life for the past ten years. I love the way that our patients feel after their perfect smiles. They always realize that it was worth the wait.
